Carbon Neutral Blocks for the Future from Island Block & Paving offer designers the opportunity to create high quality, sustainable structures using architectural coloured building blocks or structural building blocks. The carbon neutral blocks are manufactured with a patented engineered sand derived from recycled glass and in conjunction with emissions reduction initiatives has resulted in Global Greentag third party carbon neutral certification. The range is available in surface finishes including smooth, exposed aggregate, diamond brushed, refined and highly polished. Furthermore, the block range is Global Green rate level A certified so make an ideal choice for sustainable building projects.

Carbon Neutral Blocks for the Future building blocks are available in the following product types-
- Coloured Architectural Blocks- Many carbon neutral coloured options, various high end surface finishes available with feature aggregates.
- Structural Building Blocks- Dense weight ECO blocks & Lightweight with a minimum of 37.6% recycled content. Natural grey in colour.
- DIY Wall Blocks- Lightweight self-locating interlocking blocks, no mortar required. Natural grey or coloured options with recycled aggregates available.
- Sustainable Building Blocks- Blocks for the Future, made with recycled content, Global Greentag certified. Lightweight natural grey or coloured available.
- Tech Dry Water Repellent Blocks- CSIRO tested, includes mortar admixture. Natural grey or coloured available.
- 240mm Building Blocks- Made with recycled content, the 240mm block width allows for 100mm of load bearing or stud width, a 50mm wide cavity to comply with the B.C.A
To enhance the lifespan and protect against efflorescence and water ingress, all sustainable Blocks for the Future are made with Tech-Dry water repellent additives. Cold water absorption of approx. 2% only.
Blocks for the Future are manufactured and then treated to expose the processed glass coloured aggregate on the surface in the selected finish, these finishes have never been seen in the marketplace before and are unique to Island Block & Paving.
